Saint Roch Monument
Roch was born at Montpellier, France in 1350. and passed away at Angera, city of Lombardy in 1378 at the age of 28. His father a rich commissioner of Montpellier and his mother are Lombardish. Roch was born with the red-cross sign on his chest. The story tells, "His parents take several years, praying to God for this child".
Roch growing up in God's faith and mercy to poor people as their parents. He graduated has a physician at the university of Montpellier.

Both of his parents died when he turned 20 years old. After the funeral, he
give all his properties to the poor people, He pass his commissioner rank to
his uncle and made a pilgrimage to Rome. At that time the plague had broken
out. He stopped at Aquapendente and Cesena to cure patients with his physical
knowledge and cross-sign. He reached Rome in 1371, still curing patients with
his divine gift.

At Picanza , he became ill by the plague, he made a cottage in a forest
outside the country his temporary vacation. Here, he found Gothard's dog who
always brings bread from his owners house for Roch and brings him to a stream
to clean his wound everyday. Gothard soon notice the extraordinary acts of his
dog. He followed his dog and found sickened Roch. He takes Roch home, to treat
him with good care until he becomes well again.Roch returned to Montpollier but he was arrested at Angera, in allegation of being a spy. Some writer tells, the order is from his uncle who cannot remember him and he doesn't reveal who is he. Five years later, Roch died in jail. The truth discovered by the morticians, found the red-cross sign on his chest while they prepare his corpse to be burried. His uncle held a great funeral for Roch. All things he had done, demonstrate the sacredness of his life.

Even though he died and passed from our world, he still helps us people with
his miraculous power.In January 1439, Epidemic disease happened in Eurara, city of Italy. People are gathering to pray to him. By his help, all patients were cured, disease vanished.
In 1485, the plague begin in Venish. Saint Roch corpse were steal from Angela to Venish and disease disappear. That's make most of his relics are at Venish. Some writters says, "He was one of the third level members of Franciscan", but not any official documents confirm about this.
In the year 1629, Pope Urbano 8th make a public announcement to approve Saint Roch's miraculous power and assigned the 16th of August of every year to be Saint Roch's celebration day. The faith and piety to him spread around. These make people named him as "The Saint of Patients's Patronage".
In 1914, between the conferences of Bible's revising. Epidemic disease spread out, all of mans prayers to Saint Roch and the help was given.
